FORHOPE – 24 June 2023

AfriForum Sport is hosting the #ForHope fun run/walk at the Voortrekker Monument on 24 June. The objective of this initiative is to create opportunities for families, friends and the broad community to form connections, spend quality time together and at the same time maintain a healthy lifestyle in the beautiful environment in which the Voortrekker Monument is located.  

During this year’s #ForHope event we plan on raising funds for Solidarity Helping Hand’s Empower a child project.

A small contribution can make a huge difference in a child’s life. With the Empower a child project, a joint initiative of Helping Hand and Maroela Media, children in need are supported in different ways to direct their lives in a different direction. https://helpendehand.co.za/bemagtig-n-kind/

Children are a vulnerable group in our community – they do not choose in which home or circumstances they will be raised. Sometimes it just takes a small difference in such a child’s life to build a bridge to different circumstances for him of her, whether it is hostel fees, transport to and from school, remedial education, therapy, or anything else they need.  These are exactly the ways in which Empower a child supports children.
