AfriForum will participate in the transformation sessions, chaired by the transformation ombudsman, where we will have the opportunity to make comments on the negative impact that the current transformation policy of Cricket South Africa (CSA) has on this sport. We believe that this is a step in the right direction and that the transformation ombudsman will take our inputs into consideration when he makes his submission to the board.
It is important that we become involved in processes that may have a real impact on the future of sport in our country and that we will fight for equal opportunities and justice, but we also aware that we cannot be naive about the speed of the decline of our state and its affiliates. That is why AfriForum Sport also strongly focuses on building with projects that will be rolled out in the near future.
